Water Conservation Order To Be Lifted Sept 9th at Noon

NPWA appreciates all customers who assisted in conserving water during the recent main line leak and repair. The repairs are complete and the system pressures and levels are returning to normal. NPWA intends to lift the water conservation order as of Thursday September 9th at noon. All customers may resume normal water usage at that time. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Leak Repair Complete

NPWA completed the main line leak repair early this morning and water service and pressure should be restored. Customers served west of Fike Hollow Rd may experience air in the lines or cloudy water for a period of time. All customers are asked to continue to conserve water while system pressures, well and tank levels are restored to normal operating conditions.

Main Line Repair Scheduled

NPWA plans to perform a main line repair beginning at 2:00pm this afternoon (Tuesday September 7th 2010). The leak has been located along Route 40 near Fike Hollow Rd. Customers west of Marker Rd may experience service disruption during the repair. NPWA intends to prep the repair area prior to 2:00pm so as to limit the service outage.  The water conservation order will remain in effect throughout the repair and restoration of system water levels.

The National Pike Water Authority is considering a public waterline extension for portions of Henry Clay and Wharton Townships in Fayette County Pennsylvania. Public water would be voluntary and the extension would serve 550 potential users. There needs to be a minimum of 441 eligible users to agree to take public water by February 28th 2010 in order for this project to proceed. NPWA is sending information packets to property owners along the proposed service areas.
